Some exhibitions you just see. Others you remember.
"Obsessions: A Self Portrait" presented by Openhouse Magazine during Milan Design Week was one of the latter for us. We arrived at Via Francesco Burlamacchi n.1, a Milanese townhouse that welcomed us with two green courtyards and a large, open space inside. The latter was divided by soft, fabric screens, creating smaller exhibition areas.
Different forms, one voice.
The exhibition, curated by stylist Pernille Vest in collaboration with The Orb, brought together works varied in form and material: travertine, bronze, wood, aluminum, ceramics. Despite this diversity, the space spoke with one voice. A clear attachment to craftsmanship, an intimacy with the material, and a color palette close to nature shone through. None of the works spoke too much.

An exhibition is about people.
But an exhibition is not just about objects. It's primarily about people and the relationships between them. Relationships with the works they view, and those they forge with each other. The evening on Via Burlamacchi was a time for conversations that rarely happen at a desk. For insights that only arise when you stand next to someone in front of something beautiful.
Our TURI Pillar from the LINEE series was among the selected objects. One evening, one space, one un'common piece of furniture, countless conversations.
